Improved Traffic and Ad Performance for City Hire

City Hire offers a unique and responsible way to easily hire tools. City Hire aims to revolutionise the tool hire market by eliminating common issues such as lengthy lead times or unavailable products in certain areas.

Their model provides a real-time video of hiring orders and allows responsive communications. This is essential in the construction sector as poor communication is often to blame for delays. City Hire reached out to Front Page Advantage to ensure their online presence was delivering what they have promised to clients.

The Challenge: 

Thanks to their 24/7 ordering, industry accreditations and excellent customer service, City Hire already had a brilliant name for themselves amongst loyal customers. Covering all of the London postcodes, City Hire is also working to expand operations into new areas. This meant they wanted to create a best practice model with their existing digital operations to continue providing efficient tool hire services for various businesses.

City Hire also needed some support in narrowing down what areas of their online presence could be improved to improve ranking within their desired locations and improve enquiry rates.

Without an internal marketing team and little SEO knowledge, support was needed for this already busy team.

Our Solution:

City Hire was keen to hit the ground running, so they chose a customised version of our Gold SEO Package. This offers 14 hours of work per month, comprising a mix of targeted account support and monthly meetings to discuss performance. This model suited City Hire as it allowed a hands-off approach that means internal expertise is not needed.

 

There are also many products on offer meaning the measurement of success can be slightly cloudy. However, we worked to create a traffic improvement strategy that would provide clear correlations in terms of ROI.

The Results:

We are happy to report that uplift was seen across the board delivering the results that City Hire wanted. 

 

Organic users were just above 1000 per month in October 2022 but are now sitting at an all-time high of 7000 per month as of September 2023. Although traffic will always ebb and flow for the construction sector due to certain months in which projects slow down, we are happy to report that there has never been a month in which users have dipped below 3000. Furthermore, a constant upward trajectory has been seen since April 2023 proving that traffic has stabilised in a strong position for the business.

 

Results from the Google search console also show a positive uplift. At the start of the project, clicks were recorded at 150 whereas they are currently sitting at just over 300 per month. The same trend can be seen for impressions which started at 15k and are now at almost 40k.
