Position Summary & Primary Objectives

Front Page Advantage (FPA) is a well-established Digital Marketing Agency, specialising in SEO and PPC services for SMEs throughout the UK, US, Europe, Asia and Australia. We are a small but perfectly formed team of 11 and this role has arisen due to the growth of our business which we expect to continue thus ideally, we want this person to grow with us. Following a successful experience of taking on and training a recent Bournemouth University Graduate we are looking to do the same again.

Our aim with this role is to train the candidate to be responsible for meeting our customers’ expectations from running both PPC and SEO campaigns whilst also helping grow the business through upsell and onboarding new clients. Our proposition to clients is that the person they communicate with each month is the same person that completes the work avoiding fragmented work and enabling excellent relationships to be built.

We will give full training and start with SEO learning on the job and building up a portfolio of clients. Once you’ve become proficient with SEO we will move on to training you in Pay Per Click advertising and managing a portfolio of Google Ad clients. Pay rises will follow as your knowledge grows and you build up your client portfolio. Once you are fully trained and passed all your Google Ad exams you can expect to earn £35k per year.

The successful candidate will hold a marketing degree and preference will be given to those that have studied a sandwich course with relevant marketing role experiences during their year in business. You will eventually be talking to clients who are paying for a service so need to have a level of confidence in this type of environment. Front Page Advantage thrives on excellent, long standing relationships with clients and this person will have the passion and drive to help business owners and marketing managers improve there sales deliver top quality account management while collaborating with other members of our small team.

We are offering a package of £20-22k pa basic salary and on top of this you will earn 5% bonus on monthly client revenue managed. In addition to the above the company operate an annual company bonus pot shared amongst the team. We also offering private health care, 25 days holiday plus your birthday off (so 26 days holiday per year).

We are operating hybrid working at the moment with only 3 days in the office. Our office is in Basingstoke near the hospital with free parking and an onsite canteen.


Hi, my name is Charlotte and I worked at Front Page Advantage during my Sandwich year placement whilst at Bournemouth University studying Marketing. After finishing my course the team offered me a full time job doing the same role as what is being advertised for here and I’ve now been here for 18 months.

I initially wanted to focus my career on social media but decided to join Front Page focussing on SEO/PPC as it was a way forward to learn about the digital marketing world with the help from the whole team at Front Page. They gave me a professional and warm welcome to the team, and I have actually been able to spend time helping my clients with their social media accounts meeting my original career goal.

My search engine optimisation role covers all the key areas for businesses to rank in Google, including content on site, meta data, keyword research, Google My Business and making sure that sites are user and Google friendly.
My experiences so far have been working on social media, content and search engine optimisation. I have taken part in different learning courses online as well as having the opportunity to attend digital marketing/SEO events and paid workshops to improve my knowledge and skills.

I’m now managing approx. 12 SEO clients which is about £5k of business per month and I like having the responsibility of looking after clients, as well as having the communication directly with clients. The businesses my clients are in include Beauticians, Utility Brokers, Jewellery ecommerce sites, Ski Holidays and Forensic Accounting to name a few. The variety of clients keeps it interesting to learn about a new sector each time.

Now that I have a portfolio of SEO clients the next step is for me to start learning about Pay Per Click so I can build up a portfolio of Google Ad PPC clients.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be trained to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Take ownership of relationships and revenue from small existing client portfolio via outstanding, pro-active account management through regular email, telephone communication and face to face meetings.
  • Manage and develop client campaigns across PPC, SEO and to a lesser extent Social Media.
  • Prepare regular bespoke client reports with support from the team. Reporting on PPC and / or SEO campaign performance providing meaningful measurements and KPI’s along with advice and actions for further improvement.
  • To take a consultative approach in understanding each client’s objectives and to explore / advise on other relevant marketing strategies / campaigns (in line with FPA services).
  • Analysing client websites along with traffic and conversion data to identify opportunities for client campaigns.
  • Maintaining FPA’s high client retention rate by developing and fostering long lasting client relationships.
  • To identify, promote and generate new revenue opportunities from within existing client portfolio.
  • To ensure that all client data is stored and kept up to date on the company’s data/CRM systems.
  • Communicate and report effectively to Account Director on account management activity, revenue from client portfolio and new revenue opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments through conference attending, training courses, online resources, publications / blogs etc.
  • Any other relevant activity required by the company.

Required Experience / Skills / Location

1. Ability to work on own initiative, self-starter / motivator
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Passion for website side of marketing
4. Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications
5. Lives within 40 minutes’ drive of Basingstoke office
6. Holds a clean UK driving licence and has own car
