How to Add a User to Your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Account

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) lets you give other people access to your data without sharing passwords. You can control exactly what they are allowed to see or change, which is ideal for agencies, developers, or internal team members.
2. Open Admin
In the bottom-left corner, click Admin (the gear icon).
You will see two columns:
- Account
- Property

Most of the time, you should add users at the Property level.
3. Open Access Management
Under the Property column, click:
Property access management
(If you want them to have access to everything across all properties, choose Account access management instead.)

4. Add the user
Click the blue + button in the top-right corner
→ Click Add users
Enter the person’s Google email address.
5. Choose their permissions
You will now see a list of access levels.
The most commonly used options are:
Viewer
Can see reports and data only.
Analyst
Can explore data and create comparisons, but cannot change settings.
Editor
Can change events, conversions, audiences and settings.
Recommended for agencies managing tracking.
Administrator
Full access including adding and removing users.
For most marketing agencies, choose Editor or Administrator.

You are here because you are going to add a new user to your Google Analytics account.
